We are looking for a skilled Software Quality Engineer – Data & ETL with strong experience in Data and ETL Testing, SQL, Python automation, Agile methodologies, and cloud environments.

The candidate will be responsible for designing and executing comprehensive testing strategies, validating data mappings and ETL processes, developing automation scripts, managing defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure application and data quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Review data mapping requirements for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Identify, assess, and communicate project risks and potential exposures.
• Participate in Mainframe design reviews and understand application/system architecture.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.
• Design test cases covering data setup, execution steps, and expected results.
• Develop ETL automation scripts using Python and SQL.
• Execute different types of testing, including:
• Functional Testing
• Integration Testing
• Conversion Testing
• Regression Testing
• Stress Testing
• Platform Testing
• Intersystem Testing
• Coordinate with Business Analysts, Developers, Test Leads, and Project Teams to validate expected and actual results.
• Log, track, and manage defects using qTest, Jira, or equivalent tools through closure.
• Provide regular testing status, issue, and risk updates to Test Leads and Project Managers.
• Prepare detailed test execution and status reports.
• Participate in lessons-learned and continuous improvement sessions.
• Support test automation, performance testing, and security testing initiatives.
• Assist with test environment preparation and validation.
• Work flexible hours or weekends when required based on project needs.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications

• 3–7 years of Data & ETL Testing experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in SQL and ETL Testing.
• Automation experience using Python and SQL.
• Good understanding of Agile methodology.
• Knowledge of Cloud/AWS environments.
• Experience with qTest, Jira, or equivalent test/defect management tools.
• Understanding of DevOps concepts and tools.
• Knowledge of application environments and test environment preparation.
• Experience with automation, performance, and security testing strategies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to Test Lead responsibilities.
• Experience with Mainframe applications and system design reviews.
• Experience working in enterprise/MNC environments.
• Exposure to CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Experience with large-scale data migration or conversion testing.

Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,100,000.00 per year
