Machinery & Tool Room In-Charge Berkeley Hyundai | Workshop Operations Berkeley Hyundai is looking for an experienced and responsible Machinery & Tool Room In-Charge to manage the dealership’s workshop machinery, tools, equipment, and related inventory. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of automobile workshop tools and equipment, preventive maintenance, tool control, inventory management, and workshop safety. Position: Machinery & Tool Room In-Charge Experience: 1–5Years Employment Type: Full-time Industry: Automobile / Automotive Dealership Location: Berkeley Hyundai –Panchkula Key Responsibilities * Manage the complete tool room, workshop machinery, tools, and equipment. * Maintain proper records of all tools, machinery, equipment, and accessories. * Issue and receive tools to/from technicians and workshop staff. * Ensure proper tracking and accountability of tools issued to employees. * Conduct regular physical verification and stock audits of tools and equipment. * Monitor the condition and performance of workshop machinery and equipment. * Ensure timely preventive maintenance, servicing, calibration, and repair of equipment. * Identify damaged, missing, or unsafe tools and arrange replacement or repair. * Coordinate with authorized service providers and vendors for machinery maintenance and repairs. * Maintain minimum stock levels of essential tools, consumables, and workshop equipment. * Prepare purchase requirements and coordinate procurement as per company procedures. * Maintain records of machinery breakdowns, repairs, servicing, and maintenance schedules. * Ensure all tools and equipment are stored properly and safely. * Monitor workshop equipment for compliance with safety requirements. * Support workshop technicians in ensuring availability of required tools and equipment. * Prepare regular MIS reports related to tools, machinery, stock, maintenance, and expenses. * Ensure the tool room and equipment areas remain clean, organized, and properly maintained. Candidate Requirements * 1–5 years of relevant experience in an automobile workshop, tool room, machinery management, or maintenance role. * Experience in an automobile dealership/workshop will be highly preferred. * Good knowledge of automobile workshop tools, equipment, lifts, diagnostic equipment, compressors, and other workshop machinery. * Strong understanding of tool inventory and asset control. * Knowledge of preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting. * Good record-keeping and documentation skills. * Basic knowledge of MS Excel and inventory/ERP systems. * Good communication and coordination skills. * Strong attention to detail and responsibility for company assets. * Ability to coordinate with technicians, workshop staff, vendors, and management.
