A founder\-led premium beauty and wellness brand, seven years in market, is rebuilding its Shopify storefront to the standard of its products. Its collagen and supplement lines rank first or second in their category at a leading premium grocer. A new leadership team is in place, and the storefront is the first priority. You will own the technical build. **The immediate mandate is a full product detail page revamp, built, tested thoroughly, and stable by the end of October.** **This is not a role where a finished design file arrives before you start.** You will build from reference pages and a brief, working directly with the Head of E\-commerce, who owns conversion strategy and walks through priorities on calls. The founder directs brand and design. If you need pixel\-perfect mockups handed to you before you can begin, this is not the right role. **What you will do** * Rebuild product detail pages on the existing theme from the reference examples provided: buy box and its price options, subscription offers shown ahead of one\-time purchase, benefit callouts, review placement, image sliders. * Write clean Liquid, HTML, CSS and JavaScript in reusable theme sections, so that a page built once applies across every product. * Build founder\-requested visual and interactive elements to a premium standard. **Pages must not look template\-built or AI\-generated.** * Turn conversion recommendations into working pages. Test every change thoroughly before release and release in controlled increments. * Hold page speed, mobile rendering and accessibility standards on every release. * Keep theme code, Recharge subscriptions and the store's other installed apps working together, so a change to one does not break another. * Diagnose and resolve storefront issues. * Document theme structure, customisations and dependencies. Documentation of the current theme is limited, so this is real work rather than a formality. * Keep version control and staging discipline: development theme copies, documented releases, and a clear rollback path. **What you need** * **Three or more years of hands\-on Shopify development** for e\-commerce brands, including theme customisation and product page builds on live stores. * **A portfolio of Shopify storefronts or product pages you built yourself.** You must be able to explain the objective, the technical decisions and the results behind the work you show. * **Strong Liquid**, HTML, CSS and JavaScript, with working knowledge of Online Store 2\.0 theme architecture, metafields and the Shopify admin. * **Experience integrating and troubleshooting subscription apps such as Recharge** inside a theme. * A strong eye for spacing, hierarchy and brand consistency when building from reference pages. * Practical use of AI coding tools inside a disciplined workflow, with every output reviewed before release. * Strong written English for clear documentation and change notes. * High ownership, reliable follow\-through, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment. **Strongly preferred, not required** * Conversion rate optimisation or A/B testing on direct\-to\-consumer storefronts. * UI and UX capability, able to propose layouts rather than only implement them. * Experience with premium beauty, wellness or supplement brands. * A full theme rebuild or migration, and Shopify page speed optimisation. **Tools you will use** Shopify admin and theme editor, Liquid, theme sections and metafields. Recharge and the store's other installed apps. Claude, ChatGPT and other approved AI tools. ClickUp or similar, Google Workspace. Slack, Discord or WhatsApp depending on the client's preference. **How you will work** * Remote, 20\-40 hours per week, aligned to US working hours with agreed overlap for core collaboration. * **Response times: 15 minutes on internal messaging during your scheduled hours, 24 hours on email.** * Clear start of day and end of day updates, plus a structured weekly update covering delivered work, learnings, blockers and recommended next actions. * Raise blockers and risks early.
