C/C++ Developer – Payments Domain

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced C/C++ Developer with strong programming skills and a good understanding of Linux/Unix systems, messaging middleware, build processes, SQL, and software development practices. Experience in the Payments/GPP domain will be highly preferred.
The ideal candidate should be capable of understanding design documents, developing robust solutions, debugging technical issues, performing code reviews, and providing production and technical support with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand and analyze technical/design documents.
- Prepare implementation specifications, derive algorithms, and develop code based on design requirements.
- Develop and maintain applications using C and C++.
- Create and execute unit test plans.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues.
- Perform peer code reviews and ensure adherence to coding and quality standards.
- Follow development plans, schedules, and software engineering processes.
- Provide technical support and resolve client technical queries.
- Provide production support whenever required.
- Independently analyze and resolve moderately complex technical problems.
- Collaborate with technical and business teams to deliver quality solutions.
Required Technical SkillsC/C++
- Strong hands-on experience in C and C++.
- Strong understanding of OOPs concepts.
- Good knowledge of Templates and STL.
- Understanding of Exception Handling and Operator Overloading.
- Knowledge of Containment, Inheritance, and Multiple Inheritance.
- Understanding of Run-Time Type Identification (RTTI).
- Good understanding of memory management, memory leaks, memory violations, and segmentation faults.
Linux / Unix
- Good knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems.
- Understanding of how operating systems work.
- Understanding of virtual storage vs. real memory.
- Knowledge of different types of shared memory in Unix/Linux systems.
- Experience with memory leak detection tools such as Valgrind is preferred.
MQ / Messaging / CORBA
- Hands-on knowledge of MQ and MQ commands.
- Understanding of MQ message structures and message types, including String and Binary messages.
- Knowledge of MQ message conversion.
- Good understanding of CORBA and IDL.
- Understanding of how the CORBA protocol works.
- Good experience with Oracle Advanced Queuing (AQ).
Build & Development Tools
- Good knowledge of GCC, Makefiles, CMake, and build tools.
- Strong understanding of compilation, linking, and build processes.
- Familiarity with Git or similar version control tools.
SQL / Database
- Good hands-on experience with SQL.
- Experience with Oracle is preferred.
NLS / Unicode
- Understanding of NLS (National Language Support).
- Knowledge of local encoding and Unicode.
- Understanding of different types of Unicode.
Domain Knowledge
- Experience in the Payments domain is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of GPP (Global Payments Platform) will be an added advantage.
Candidate Profile
- 4–7 years of relevant software development experience.
- Strong analytical and logical problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of software engineering practices across design, development, testing, and debugging.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
