***The Role:***
As the Finance Controller, you will be responsible for maintaining strong financial controls, accurate accounting, timely reporting, statutory compliance, and financial discipline across Design First and The Quarry.
You will work closely with the Founder, leadership team, Finance \& Accounts team, and business functions to ensure financial accuracy, transparency, compliance and effective financial operations..
***What would you be required to do?***
· Oversee day\-to\-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely recording of financial transactions.
· Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closure of books, including all reconciliations, provisions, accruals, and schedules.
· Prepare and review monthly MIS, financial statements, cash flow reports, ageing reports, and variance analysis covering Revenue, EBITDA, Gross Margin, Net Margin, and Overheads.
· Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, vendor payments, petty cash, employee reimbursements, banking transactions, and reconciliations.
· Monitor working capital, cash flow, collections, payables, fund requirements, and intercompany transactions and balances.
· Ensure timely GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, ROC, Shops \& Establishments, Labour Welfare Fund, and other applicable statutory compliances.
· Coordinate with CAs, CS, auditors, tax consultants, legal advisors, banks, regulatory authorities, and other external stakeholders.
· Lead coordination for statutory, internal, tax, and other financial audits and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
· Review payroll workings, statutory deductions, reimbursements, and Full \& Final settlements in coordination with HR and the payroll partner.
· Monitor project\-wise financials, costs, margins, advances, receivables, payables, fixed assets, and other balance sheet schedules.
· Oversee finance\-related documentation and coordination for business insurance policies, including renewals, payments, claims, and supporting documents.
· Establish and monitor internal financial controls, accounting policies, SOPs, approval processes, and reporting systems.
· Identify financial risks, discrepancies, control gaps, and process inefficiencies and ensure timely corrective action.
· Work closely with Sales, Procurement, Projects, Operations, HR, and other functions to ensure adherence to financial processes and improve financial discipline.
· Maintain accurate financial, statutory, audit, insurance, and other finance\-related records and drive continuous improvements in financial systems and processes.
· Provide regular financial control and exception reports to the Founder, highlighting key risks, discrepancies, overdue items, compliance matters, and areas requiring attention.
· Lead and supervise the Finance \& Accounts team, ensuring timely completion of responsibilities and adherence to defined processes.
· Support and lead finance\-related special projects and other responsibilities assigned by the Founder and leadership team.
***What skills we are looking for?***
**Qualifications \& Experience**
· Chartered Accountant (CA) with **10–15 years of post\-qualification experience**, including at least **3–5 years in a leadership role**.
· Proven experience in Commercial Finance, Financial Planning \& Analysis (FP\&A), P\&L management, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, cash flow management, and working capital.
· Strong experience in accounting, taxation, statutory compliance, audits, financial reporting, and corporate governance.
· Experience in coordinating with Company Secretaries (CS), auditors, legal advisors, banks, and regulatory authorities.
· Experience working in a startup or high\-growth organization will be an added advantage.
**Skills \& Qualities**
· Strong working knowledge of Tally Prime, Microsoft Excel, and financial reporting tools.
· Strong analytical, commercial, and strategic thinking abilities.

**Work Timings:**
· Monday to Friday: 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM
· Saturday: 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM (Half Day)
Pay: ₹1,800,000\.00 \- ₹3,000,000\.00 per year
