About This Role Lead Infrastructure Systems Engineer (India-based)
The Role in Brief
We are seeking a Lead Infrastructure Systems Engineer in India to build, configure, and manage the AWS environment for a multi-tenant deployment. You will own the full infrastructure stack — EKS cluster, Aurora databases, ALB, S3, CloudFront, and monitoring — and ensure it meets production-grade reliability, security, and scalability requirements. This role is the DevOps backbone of the engagement.
Basic Qualifications
- 8+ years in infrastructure/DevOps engineering with strong AWS experience.
- 5+ years managing clusters in production (Docker/EKS preferred).
- Proven experience building multi-tenant infrastructure with tenant isolation.
- Strong Terraform or CloudFormation skills for repeatable infrastructure provisioning.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus).
- Excellent troubleshooting skills for distributed systems across networking, compute, and storage layers.
Key Responsibilities
AWS Infrastructure Build
- Provision the AWS environment: VPC, subnets, security groups, IAM roles, and EKS clusteretc.
- Deploydatabaseinstances with isolated schemasto handle multi tenancy.
- Configure ALB with subdomain routing rules per tenant and set up S3/CloudFront for email assets.
Container Orchestration
- Deploy Docker containers into EKS pods per tenant with namespace isolation.
- Manage Helm charts or Kubernetes manifests for repeatable tenant deployment.
- Implement horizontal pod autoscaling and resource limits per tenant.
Monitoring & Observability
- Set up CloudWatch dashboards and alerting (pod health, RDS connections, queue depth, API error rates).
- Configure log aggregation for application logs across all tenant pods.
- Implement health check endpoints and automated restart policies.
DNS Cutover & Reliability
- Plan andvalidatethe DNS cutover approach with TTL management for all tenants.
- Monitor each tenant during the 24-hour soak period post-cutover.
- Document the cutover runbook for wave migration scaling.
