Optometrist – Clinical Eye Care **Madurai Eye Center \| Coimbatore** **Locations:** RS Puram \& Kuniyamuthur **Job Type:** Full\-time **Experience:** Freshers \& Experienced Candidates Welcome About the Role Madurai Eye Center is looking for a **clinically oriented Optometrist** who is confident in **refraction and independently prescribing spectacles**. **Freshers and experienced optometrists are welcome to apply.** This is an excellent opportunity to develop skills in **clinical optometry, advanced ophthalmic diagnostics, contact lenses, cornea, refractive surgery and retina care**. Key Responsibilities * Perform **objective and subjective refraction** independently. * Assess and correct **myopia, hypermetropia, astigmatism and presbyopia**. * Provide accurate **spectacle prescriptions**. * Perform routine **OPD vision assessment and optometric evaluation**. * Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records. * Identify abnormal findings and appropriately refer patients to the ophthalmologist. * Assist with **pre\-operative evaluation and diagnostic work\-up**. * Participate in eye screening camps and outreach programs when required. Advanced Ophthalmic Diagnostic Training \& Exposure Optometrists will receive training and hands\-on exposure to a wide range of **ophthalmic diagnostic investigations**. **Anterior Segment \& Corneal Diagnostics** * **Pentacam / Corneal Tomography** * **Specular Microscopy** * **ARGOS Optical Biometry** * Anterior segment assessment * Corneal imaging and evaluation **Retina \& Posterior Segment Diagnostics** * **Spectralis OCT** * **Fundus Photography** * **Fundus Fluorescein Angiography (FFA)** * Comprehensive **retinal imaging and diagnostic work\-up** * Exposure to **retina OPD and retinal disease evaluation** Training will be provided in these investigations in addition to regular **OPD refraction and clinical optometry**. Specialty Contact Lens Department Madurai Eye Center has a **dedicated Contact Lens Department**, providing exposure to: * **RGP contact lens fitting** * **Scleral lens fitting** * Specialty contact lenses * Contact lens assessment and follow\-up * Corneal topography\-guided contact lens fitting * Management of **irregular cornea and complex refractive errors** Optometrists who are already trained in **Pentacam, ARGOS biometry, OCT, retinal imaging, RGP or scleral lens fitting** are especially welcome to apply.
