Key Responsibilities1. Sales & Marketing
- Support the overall Sales & Marketing activities and achievement of business targets.
- Develop and execute sales and marketing plans for assigned customers and territories.
- Identify potential customers, markets and business opportunities for business growth and expansion.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Follow up with customers for new enquiries, business opportunities and order status.
- Prepare and maintain regular sales reports, customer reports and business development updates.
- Monitor sales performance against targets and highlight gaps to management.
2. Customer Relationship Management
- Act as a key contact for assigned customers and ensure effective customer relationship management.
- Understand customer requirements and communicate them to the concerned internal departments.
- Ensure customer requirements are met in terms of quality, quantity, cost and delivery.
- Handle customer queries, concerns and commercial requirements and coordinate with the relevant departments for timely resolution.
- Regularly follow up with customers to understand their requirements, future plans and business opportunities.
- Maintain updated customer records and communication history.
3. RFQ & Quotation Management
- Receive and review RFQs / enquiries from customers.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Costing, Production, Quality, Purchase and Finance teams for preparation of quotations.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of RFQs and quotations.
- Coordinate feasibility review for new products and changed customer requirements.
- Follow up with customers regarding quotation status and commercial discussions.
- Maintain proper records of quotations, enquiries and business conversion status.
4. Pricing & Commercial Activities
- Coordinate new part pricing and price revision activities.
- Collect cost inputs from relevant departments and prepare commercial proposals.
- Support price negotiations with customers under the guidance of management.
- Monitor changes in customer pricing requirements and ensure timely communication to concerned departments.
- Maintain proper documentation of approved prices and commercial terms.
5. New Product Development
- Coordinate with Engineering and other concerned departments for New Product Development (NPD).
- Follow up on new part development, sample preparation and submission.
- Ensure samples are submitted to customers within the agreed timeline.
- Follow up for customer feedback, approval and necessary modifications.
- Ensure customer requirements and specifications are properly communicated to the concerned departments.
- Monitor the progress of new products from enquiry stage through customer approval and regular production.
6. Delivery & Order Management
- Coordinate with PPC, Production, Quality, Stores and Logistics to ensure timely delivery of customer requirements.
- Monitor customer schedules, purchase orders and delivery commitments.
- Follow up on pending orders and identify potential delivery delays.
- Escalate delivery-related issues to the concerned departments and management.
- Support effective planning and control of finished goods inventory based on customer requirements.
- Ensure customer delivery commitments are achieved.
7. Customer Scorecard & Performance Monitoring
- Monitor and review customer scorecards, ratings and performance reports.
- Track customer performance indicators such as:
- Quality
- Delivery
- Customer complaints
- Responsiveness
- Commercial performance
- Review customer portal updates and ensure required information is submitted within timelines.
- Communicate customer scorecard results and improvement requirements to respective HODs.
- Coordinate corrective actions for improvement of customer ratings and satisfaction.
8. Customer Complaints & Support
- Coordinate with Quality and other departments for timely resolution of customer complaints.
- Follow up on 8D / corrective action reports and ensure timely submission to customers.
- Monitor customer feedback and identify recurring issues.
- Ensure effective communication between the customer and internal teams until closure of the issue.
9. Business Development
- Identify and develop new customers and new business opportunities.
- Conduct market research to identify potential customers and business segments.
- Generate new enquiries and follow up for business opportunities.
- Support management in developing strategies for increasing sales and market share.
- Maintain a pipeline of prospective customers and monitor conversion status.
- Participate in customer meetings, business discussions and technical/commercial negotiations as required.
10. Management Reporting
- Prepare regular reports covering:
- Sales performance
- Customer enquiries
- RFQ status
- Quotation status
- New business development
- Customer complaints
- Customer scorecards
- Order status
- Delivery performance
- Provide timely updates to Senior Management regarding customer and business-related matters.
- Support management in decision-making by providing accurate customer and market information.
11. Quality & System Requirements
- Ensure compliance with applicable customer-specific requirements.
- Support implementation and maintenance of the organization's Quality Management System.
- Have working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016 requirements.
- Support customer audits, assessments and other customer-related quality activities.
- Ensure effective implementation of 5S and continuous improvement activities within the area of responsibility.

Qualification
- Degree / B.E. / Equivalent qualification.
- MBA / PG qualification in Marketing, Sales or Business Management will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 10–15 years of relevant experience in Sales & Marketing, Business Development or Customer Relationship Management.
- Experience in Automotive / Auto Components / Engineering Manufacturing is preferred.
- Experience in handling OEM / Tier-1 customers will be an added advantage.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Good knowledge of Sales & Marketing and Business Development.
- Good understanding of RFQ, quotation, costing and pricing.
- Knowledge of New Product Development and feasibility review.
- Strong customer relationship and negotiation skills.
- Good understanding of customer requirements and delivery management.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016.
- Good analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Good coordination and follow-up skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good command of English – written and verbal.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
