About the Role
We are looking for a responsible and organized Assistant Storekeeper to support the day\-to\-day management of materials, inventory, and store operations.
The ideal candidate should be organized, physically active, detail\-oriented, and comfortable working with inventory records and computer systems.
Key Responsibilities
1\. Receiving Materials
- Receive incoming materials, components, tools, and supplies.
- Verify quantities against purchase orders, delivery challans, and other documents.
- Check materials for visible damage or discrepancies.
- Record received materials accurately in the inventory system.
- Inform the concerned department about shortages, excess quantities, or damaged materials.
2\. Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate stock records for all materials.
- Monitor stock levels and identify shortages or excess inventory.
- Ensure materials are stored in their designated locations.
- Maintain proper identification and labeling of materials.
- Conduct regular physical stock checks and reconcile discrepancies.
3\. Material Issue \& Dispatch
- Issue materials to production and other departments against authorized requests.
- Maintain proper records of material issues and returns.
- Ensure the correct material and quantity are issued.
- Prepare materials for internal movement or dispatch when required.
4\. Store Organization
- Keep the store clean, organized, and properly arranged.
- Maintain proper location\-wise storage of materials.
- Ensure materials are protected from damage, contamination, or loss.
- Follow FIFO where applicable.
- Maintain proper handling and storage practices.
5\. Documentation \& ERP
- Maintain GRN, material issue, return, transfer, and stock records.
- Enter inventory transactions into ERP/software and Excel.
- Maintain physical and digital documentation.
- Assist in preparing stock reports and inventory summaries.
- Ensure all inventory movements are properly documented.
6\. Coordination
- Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Accounts, Quality, Dispatch, and Management.
- Inform the concerned person about material shortages and pending deliveries.
- Follow up on materials required for production.
- Assist in resolving stock discrepancies and documentation issues.
7\. Stock Control \& Verification
- Participate in periodic and annual stock counts.
- Identify damaged, obsolete, excess, or slow\-moving materials.
- Report stock discrepancies to management.
- Help maintain accurate inventory records at all times.
Required Skills \& Qualifications
- 12th pass / Graduate preferred.
- Previous experience in stores, inventory, warehouse, or manufacturing preferred.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel.
- Ability to maintain accurate records.
- Good understanding of quantities, measurements, and material identification.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with an ERP/inventory management system.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of mechanical components, hardware, raw materials, and consumables.
- Basic knowledge of purchase orders, GRNs, delivery challans, and material issue notes.
- Experience with stock counting and reconciliation.

Salary
Up to ₹30,000 per month, depending on experience, inventory management skills, computer/ERP knowledge, and overall suitability for the role.
