**Commissioning Engineer \- Siemens Systems**

Job Summary

Responsible for installation verification, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and startup of Siemens electrical, automation, and control systems at customer sites. Work closely with engineering, project management, and client teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform pre\-commissioning and commissioning activities for Siemens equipment and systems.
• Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
• Configure, test, and troubleshoot Siemens PLCs, SCADA, HMI, DCS, and protection systems.
• Verify electrical wiring, I/O checks, loop checks, and communication interfaces.
• Support equipment startup, performance testing, and operational handover.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues.
• Prepare commissioning reports, test records, and documentation.
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and client representatives.
• Ensure compliance with Siemens standards and safety regulations.
• Provide customer training and post\-commissioning support.

Technical Skills

• Siemens PLCs (S7\-1200, S7\-1500, S7\-300/400\)
• TIA Portal
• WinCC SCADA/HMI
• PCS7 DCS (preferred)
• Industrial networking (Profibus, Profinet, Modbus, Ethernet/IP)

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or related field.
• 3\+ years to 10\+ years of commissioning experience (depending on level).
• Experience with Siemens automation or power systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Preferred Certifications

• Siemens Certified Programmer/Engineer
• Electrical Safety Certifications
• OSHA 10/30 (for US projects)
• NFPA 70E awareness

Travel Requirements

• Willingness to travel extensively (often 50\-80%).
