To achieve this vision, a new Center of Excellence was created in Pune in 2019. The Pune CoE boasts of cross functional teams that build SaaS products from scratch, onboard customers and offer post-implementation support. Role Summary:

We are looking for a Technical Product Owner to sit at the intersection of engineering and product for our Credit & Risk suite. This role is for someone who can go deep into ABAP, RAP and Fiori technical topics to design and guide developers, write Epics and User Stories that developers and QA can implement and test without ambiguity, and — when dedicated QA capacity is limited — test the functionality themselves. Prior Product Owner experience is not required as long as strong Project Management and Agile delivery skills are in place.

The person will work closely with the Product Manager to understand, follow, and contribute to the Roadmap, and will collaborate in depth with customers, external credit agencies, Solution Architects, and Consulting to explain the product, gather feedback, and turn it into actionable backlog items

Key Responsibilities

• Deep-dive into technical topics in SAP ABAP, RAP and Fiori to design solutions and guide developers through implementation.
• Write clear, well-structured Epics and User Stories that are easy for developers and QA to implement and test.
• Perform hands-on testing / QA yourself for critical items when dedicated QA capacity is limited.
• Understand, follow, and actively contribute to the product Roadmap set by the Product Manager.
• Collaborate in depth with customers, external credit agencies, Solution Architects, and Consulting teams — explaining the product, capturing feedback, and translating it into requirements.
• Bring significant/strategic topics to the Product Manager for joint discussion and decision-making.
• Apply a working understanding of SAP functional processes and Finance tables to ground technical decisions in real business context.
• Demonstrate excellent communication, active listening, and critical reasoning across technical and non-technical audiences.

Must-Have:

• Hands-on technical experience with SAP ABAP, RAP and Fiori/UI5 — enough to design solutions and guide developers, not just review code.
• Strong Project Management / Agile delivery skills (Scrum, sprint planning, Backlog management) — Product Owner title/experience is not mandatory if this is solid.
• Basic understanding of SAP functional processes; exposure to Finance tables (e.g. BSEG, BSID, Credit Management tables) is a strong plus.
• Demonstrated ability to write Epics and User Stories that developers and QA can pick up and implement/test with minimal back-and-forth.
• Willingness and ability to personally execute QA/Testing when QA capacity is constrained.
• Proven experience collaborating directly with customers, partners, or external agencies — explaining a product and incorporating feedback.
• Excellent communication and active-listening skills, with strong critical reasoning to navigate ambiguous, technical, and business conversations alike.

Good-to-Have:

• Prior experience as a Product Owner or in a similar product/technical-lead role.
• Domain exposure to Credit Management, Credit Risk, Order to Cash (O2C), or Accounts Receivable.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA (or ECC-to-S/4HANA migration context).
• Familiarity with JIRA/Confluence or similar Agile tooling for Epics/Story and Roadmap management.
• Exposure to integrations with external credit bureaus/agencies (e.g. credit reporting or credit insurance providers). Exposure to AI/ML-driven features such as credit exposure or risk-prediction models.
• Prior experience working with Solution Architects and Consulting teams in a customer-facing capacity.
