Our GDC plays a critical role in building high\-impact engineering and delivery teams while driving operational excellence through structured processes and intelligent automation. **Role Overview** Solutionara is looking for a QA Engineer – Quality Engineering \& Automation to support quality assurance across enterprise applications, APIs, integrations, and digital solutions. This is a hands\-on quality engineering role requiring a combination of manual testing and test automation. The QA Engineer will be responsible for understanding requirements, developing test scenarios and test cases, executing functional and regression testing, building and maintaining automated tests, testing APIs and integrations, identifying and documenting defects, and supporting release validation. The individual will work closely with Developers, QA Leads, Project Managers, Technical Project Managers, Business Analysts, DevOps Engineers, Integration Engineers, and other delivery team members to ensure solutions meet functional, technical, and quality expectations. We are looking for someone who does more than execute predefined test cases. The successful candidate should be able to understand how a solution works, identify where it could fail, investigate defects, automate repeatable testing, and communicate quality risks clearly to the delivery team. **What You’ll Do** **Manual \& Functional Testing** * Analyze business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, technical specifications, and application workflows. * Develop comprehensive test scenarios, test cases, test data, and testing checklists. * Execute functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, sanity, exploratory, and end\-to\-end testing. * Perform positive, negative, boundary, exception, and data\-validation testing. * Test web\-based and responsive applications across supported browsers and devices. * Validate complex business workflows across frontend, backend, API, integration, and database layers. * Identify requirement gaps, inconsistencies, and potential quality risks before development or release. * Maintain appropriate test evidence and execution results. * Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validate defects identified by business or client teams. **Test Automation** * Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications and APIs. * Contribute to existing automation frameworks and help improve their reliability, maintainability, and coverage. * Identify regression and repetitive test scenarios suitable for automation. * Develop reusable automation components and follow established automation coding standards. * Debug failed automation tests and distinguish between application defects, automation issues, test\-data problems, and environment failures. * Reduce flaky tests and maintain reliable automated regression suites. * Participate in automation code reviews. * Work with QA and DevOps teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines. * Continuously identify opportunities to improve testing efficiency through automation. **API \& Integration Testing** * Test REST APIs and system integrations using tools such as Postman or equivalent technologies. * Validate request and response payloads, HTTP status codes, headers, authentication, error responses, and business rules. * Test positive and negative API scenarios. * Validate system\-to\-system data flows and third\-party integrations. * Test asynchronous workflows and integration failure scenarios where applicable. * Verify appropriate error handling, retries, validation, and recovery behavior. * Work with Developers and Integration Engineers to isolate defects across different system components. **Database \& Data Validation** * Use SQL to validate application and integration data. * Verify data consistency between user interfaces, APIs, databases, and integrated systems. * Validate create/update/delete operations and complex business transactions. * Identify data\-quality issues and support investigation of data\-related defects. * Perform backend validation where frontend testing alone is insufficient. **Defect Management \& Troubleshooting** * Identify, reproduce, document, and track defects through resolution. * Create clear defect reports containing reproduction steps, expected versus actual results, screenshots/logs, environment information, severity, and business impact. * Participate in defect triage with Developers, QA Leads, Project Managers, and other stakeholders. * Retest resolved defects and perform appropriate regression testing. * Analyze logs, API responses, database results, and other available evidence to help isolate problems. * Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for significant or recurring defects. * Distinguish between application defects, environment issues, integration failures, data problems, configuration issues, and requirement gaps. **Release \& Production Validation** * Support testing across development, QA, UAT, staging, and production environments. * Perform smoke and sanity testing following deployments. * Support release\-readiness and go\-live validation activities. * Verify critical business functionality before and after production deployment. * Support production defect reproduction and investigation when required. * Maintain regression coverage for production changes and new releases. * Communicate unresolved defects, testing limitations, and quality risks before release. **Quality Engineering \& Collaboration** * Work closely with Developers to understand technical changes and associated testing requirements. * Participate in requirement discussions, sprint planning, refinement, daily stand\-ups, reviews, and retrospectives. * Collaborate with QA Leads to estimate testing effort and identify dependencies. * Raise blockers and quality risks early rather than waiting until the end of the testing cycle. * Contribute to improvements in QA processes, standards, templates, and testing practices. * Maintain testing documentation and appropriate traceability between requirements, test cases, defects, and releases. * Take ownership of assigned testing activities and follow them through completion. **AI\-Assisted Quality Engineering** * Use approved AI\-assisted tools to improve productivity in areas such as test\-case generation, automation development, test\-data preparation, documentation, and defect analysis. * Use AI\-generated testing or automation outputs responsibly and validate results before implementation. * Identify opportunities where AI\-assisted engineering can reduce repetitive QA activities and improve test coverage. * Follow organizational requirements for security, confidentiality, client data, and responsible AI usage. **Required Qualifications \& Experience** * 3–6 years of hands\-on Software Quality Assurance / Quality Engineering experience. * Practical experience with both manual testing and test automation. * Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC). * Experience developing test scenarios, test cases, test data, and regression suites. * Hands\-on experience with functional, regression, integration, system, exploratory, and end\-to\-end testing. * Experience with an automation tool/framework such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent. * Working programming/scripting knowledge in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or another relevant automation language. * Hands\-on experience testing REST APIs using Postman or comparable tools. * Working knowledge of SQL and database validation. * Experience with defect/test\-management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, Zephyr, Xray, or equivalent. * Familiarity with Git/version control. * Basic understanding of CI/CD and automated testing within delivery pipelines. * Experience troubleshooting application and integration defects. * Understanding of HTTP, REST APIs, JSON, authentication, and web application architecture. * Experience working in Agile/Scrum or hybrid delivery environments. * Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills. * Ability to document defects and communicate technical findings clearly. * Ability to work collaboratively with Development, QA, DevOps, Project Management, and business teams. * Strong ownership and attention to detail. **Technical Fluency** The QA Engineer should possess sufficient technical understanding to effectively test and troubleshoot solutions involving: * Web and responsive applications * REST/SOAP APIs * Frontend and backend services * Microservices * Enterprise and architect, but should be technically capable of understanding where a failure is occurring, how to gather evidence, how to reproduce it, and how to communicate useful information to the engineering team. **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience working within IT consulting, technology services, or Global Delivery Center (GDC) environments. * Experience supporting U.S. or other global clients and distributed engineering teams. * Experience testing enterprise applications, digital platforms, APIs, cloud solutions, integrations, data platforms, eCommerce, PIM/DAM, ERP, CRM, or similar enterprise solutions. * Exposure to AWS and/or Azure. * Exposure to Docker or containerized applications. * Experience testing API\-led or integration\-heavy solutions. * Exposure to performance testing using JMeter, k6, or equivalent tools. * Understanding of basic application\-security concepts and OWASP principles. * Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or equivalent. * Experience with AI\-assisted engineering/testing tools is advantageous. * Relevant QA/testing certifications are beneficial but not mandatory. **What Success Looks meaningful and maintainable areas. * Automation failures are investigated rather than simply rerun until they pass. * API, database, and integration testing complement UI testing. * QA risks and
